Could work be a protective factor for mature workers during COVID-19?

The CEPAR Organisations and the Mature Workforce research team recently surveyed over 1,580 mature workers (45+yrs) about their COVID-19 work experiences and says "it’s heartening to find that 91% felt that their work during the pandemic is contributing to society in a meaningful way."
