CEPAR researchers were recently awarded two new research grants to inform workplace policy and practice.

Senior Research Fellow Dr Daniela Andrei, Chief Investigator Professor Sharon Parker and Research Fellow Dr Jane Chong were awarded $373,762 from the Safe Work Australia Research Grant Scheme. The two-year project officially commenced in late January 2022. The team is working with Bethanie Aged Care in Western Australia to develop and test an organisational intervention to reduce psychosocial risks in the aged care sector.

In addition, Research Fellow Dr Jane Chong and Associate Investigators Associate Professor Patrick Dunlop and Professor Marylène Gagné were awarded $24,700 from the City of Swan in Western Australia to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a new employee socialisation and onboarding program. Alongside elements tailored to mature workers who are new to the organisation, the team will develop and deliver an evidence-based, blended, and experience-driven onboarding program with positive effects on employee retention.
