Inka Eberhardt is a CEPAR Associate Investigator. She joined the Centre in October 2018. She completed her undergraduate studies in political sciences and economics in the Netherlands, and received a PhD in Behavioral Finance from Maastricht University in 2023. In 2017, she also visited Professors Michael Norton and John Beshears at Harvard Business School.
Inka is interested in the interface between behavioural economics and pension systems. For her dissertation, Inka worked together with the Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds Detailhandel, the pension fund of the Dutch retail sector.
Inka has examined financial decision-making through field experiments and survey research for the past 8 years. She has collaborated with co-authors from multiple disciplines (e.g. marketing, actuarial studies, psychology) and worked together with pension funds in the Netherlands and Australia to analyze effective pension communication as well as retirement savings and investment behavior.
