Co-hosted by CEPAR and the School of Risk & Actuarial Studies, UNSW Business School, the Colloquium is a unique annual event, bringing together academics (from economics, finance, actuarial studies and related disciplines), government and industry to discuss the latest research on pensions, superannuation and retirement.
The Colloquium is being held in person at UNSW Sydney on 5-6 December*, and is also hosting an online session on 7 December, sponsored by the International Pension Research Association (IPRA).

Information for presenters:
- Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to your session to meet with your session chair and familiarise yourself with the venue.
- Timing: Each presentation is given 30 minutes, comprising 20 minutes presentation plus 10 minutes Q&A discussion.
- Please refer to the attached program schedule to view the order of presentations and your presentation start time - please note: The time zone shown on the program left column is Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
The registration desk opens from 8.30am on both days (for 9.00am commencement of proceedings).
Dietary Requirements: During lunch and tea breaks, please check for labels to match dietary requirements.
Visitor Safety Information - The health and safety of our patrons is our top priority, and this event will abide by the Public Health Order prevailing at the time. Please follow our conditions of entry.
Health and safety protocol:
- Do not attend the event if you have tested positive for COVID-19, have any respiratory symptoms or are unwell.
- The current university guidance is that it is strongly encouraged to wear masks in indoor settings on campus where physical distancing cannot be maintained, and when not presenting / delivering content to a group. Please bring a mask with you.
- Keep a safe distance from others, and if you can’t, it is strongly recommended that you wear a good quality mask – N95, P2 or surgical mask.
- Wash or sanitise your hands regularly.
Parking & Public Transport - The Kensington Campus is easily accessible via public transport. Call the Transport Infoline on 131 500 or visit transportnsw.info.
To travel on trains, buses and ferry services in New South Wales, you will need an Opal card or contactless enabled credit or debit card. For further information visit opal.com.au.
There are two major parking stations:
- Barker Street Carpark – Entry via Gate 14, Barker Street.
- Botany Street Carpark – Enter via Gate 11, Botany Street
Paid casual and visitor parking is offered via the CellOPark App and ‘pay by plate meters’ at various locations. You can see the rates here and further information about parking on campus is available here.
UNSW can be accessed by taxis or ride-sharing apps, with High Street and Anzac Parade attracting the greatest number of passing taxis.
Internet access: Complimentary WiFi access is available on campus.
