CEPAR PhD Candidate Shu Chen wins people’s choice award at UNSW Business School’s Three Minute Thesis competition

Shu Chen, CEPAR PhD Candidate at the School of Risk and Actuarial Studies at the UNSW Business School, has won the people’s choice award at the recent 2023 Three Minute Thesis Business School competition.

Shu Chen presented in a three-minute pitch her research on ‘Social Environment and the Risk of Dementia’. She is a third-year PhD Candidate and is supervised by CEPAR Associate Investigator Associate Professor Katja Hanewald and Professor Bingqin Li, and Chief Investigator Professor Hazel Bateman.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition celebrates the inspiring research conducted by higher degree research students worldwide. PhD Candidates have just three minutes to explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
