Dr Craig Sinclair is a Associate Investigator in the Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research, based at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) and the University of New South Wales. Craig's background is in psychology and his key research interests include individual and social determinants of decision-making processes and outcomes, particuarly among older populations.
Craig has undertaken applied research in the area of advance care planning and supported decision-making, particularly in the context of cognitive impairment and dementia. This work has generated a number of practical interventions aimed at educating and empowering people living with dementia, carers and professionals.
His research research interests include decision-making and ageing, decision-making capacity, supported decision-making, dementia, advance care planning, rural health and Aboriginal health.
