Sponsored by CEPAR, the 15th National ERA conference was organised by CEPAR Chief Investigator Kaarin Anstey. Hosted by the Centre for Research on Ageing, Health & Wellbeing and the Australian National University, Canberra, the ERA conference presented a unique opportunity for research higher degree students in the diverse fields relating to ageing to present their developing research.
Each year the conference draws an audience of students, academic researchers, practitioners and policy makers and provides an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and discuss the latest in ageing-related research.
The major theme of the conference was "Pathways to Ageing Well" with Keynote Presentations by Professor Cathie Sherrington, NHMRC Senior Research Fellow at The George Institute and the University of Sydney, and Dr Chris Hatherly, Director of Science Policy and Projects at the Australian Academy of Science.
