Ralph's current research focuses on the effect of systematic longevity risk on annuities. It includes managing and measuring systematic longevity risk in a  portfolio of life insurance and pension products and the capital reserves for  systematic longevity risk. Prior to joining CEPAR he was a Lecturer in the UNSW School of Risk and Actuarial Studies and is a former student of Tilburg University in the Netherlands as well as a current Netspar fellow.
