1st CEPAR International
Conference
Analysing Population Ageing:
Multidisciplinary perspectives and innovation
The ARC Centre of Excellence in
Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) is delighted to announce its
inaugural international conference.
When: 2nd & 3rd of July
2013.
Where: University of
New South Wales, Sydney.
Population ageing is a global
phenomenon. While individual nations are at different stages in
demographic transition, the trend for almost all is clear. The
economic and social impact of demographic change is generating
increasing research and policy attention. This conference will
bring together leading academics, senior policymakers and
practitioners to share new research and industry and policy
perspectives on the dynamics of the ageing demographic. Fiscal,
labour force, family, health, and financial questions will be
discussed.
A number of bursaries to the
amount of $250 AUD each are available to students.
CEPAR is proud to announce the 12th
National Conference of Emerging Researchers in Ageing of which it
is a major sponsor. This year's event is being organised by CEPAR
associate Investigators Kate
O'Loughlin and Lindy
Clemson. Hosted by the Ageing, Work & Health
Research Unit, Faculty of Health Sciences, The University of
Sydney, the ERA conference presents a unique opportunity for
research higher degree students in the diverse fields relating to
ageing to present their developing research.
Each year the conference draws an audience of students, academic
researchers, practitioners and policy makers and ERA 2013 promises
to be an exciting opportunity to network, exchange ideas and
discuss the latest in ageing-related research.
The major theme of the conference, "Enabling Active Ageing",
focuses on the policy and practice implications of research. It
emphasises the impact that the work of emerging researchers has on
the field of ageing and the potential their research holds for
influencing change.
The conference will take place from
the 25th-26th November 2013.
