Marc de Cure has been actively engaged in the development of the
population ageing research initiative at UNSW since 2004,
recognising the social and economic significance of demographic
change and the need to undertake and promulgate research to inform
community, government and commercial responses. He helped to
establish the Australian Institute for Population Ageing Research
(AIPAR), and is currently Chair of the Leaders' Forum, a high-level
group of executives who share a concern with the issue. Within the
ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR), he
chairs the Advisory Board.
Marc is a Company Director and advisor and previously held
senior executive roles in leading financial and professional
services groups. He was AIA Group CFO for its Hong Kong IPO and AMP
Group CFO, EGM Strategy & Development and Executive Director of
its main operating subsidiaries. In professional services Marc was
a senior Partner with PWC including Chairman of the Australian
Financial Services practice, and was a Principal Advisor with Bain
&Co.
Marc serves on the Business Advisory Council and the Executive
Committee of the Australian School of Business at UNSW. He holds a
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from UNSW, a Master of Wine Quality
from UWS and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in Australia.
